It's Time for the Book Fair!

Wednesday and Thursday November 5-6 from 4:15-8:00 pm

Last year the Book Fair and All for Books coin drive was SO successful that EVERY teacher was able to build their classroom library because of your generous donations. In fact, we were also able to purchase some much needed supplies and books for the school libabry as well (these were purchased with credit we received at the Book Fair- they were not part of your monetary donations).

The All For Books coin fundraiser will take place the week of October 27-Octber 31 for A, B &C Tracks. For those of you who might be new to the school or unaware of the is program, All For Books is a fundraiser where you can send coins each day with your student(s), and all of these donations go directly to your childes teacher so they can purchase books with these donations to help improve/build their classroom libraries. Remember, in order to make this successful again this year, we need YOUR help!

Each day starting Monday, October 27 each teacher will have a a coin can in their classroom and we will be collecting coins. Here is an outline of what to send with your child in a  ziploc bag each day this week.

Monday- Penny
Tuesday - Nickels
Wednesday - Dime
Thursday - Quarter
Friday - Dollar

This will be replacing the teacher wish lists that have been available a the book fair in years past. If you still wish to purchase a book for your child's teacher rather than a monetary donation, you may do that at the Book Fair. You will also be able to make donations at the Book Fair too.

Walk to School With Me 2014

The walk to school today was awesome.

The Sixth Grade Safety Patrol came early to help. Principal Bona, Vice Principal Dr. Mausbach, the PTA , and parents all showed up to walk with our amazing students today from different check points in the neighborhoods around our school.

Eight starting points were set up and maps were posted on Facebook. Each group walked with a sign, and had stickers to give to the students that came to walk.

The students then all met and walked to school.
Huge Thank You to Camille Jensen for putting this together! Awesome Job!

At the assembly Whitney received her own water bottle and candy.

Here is the video of our sponsors and volunteers. This is not possible without all of these wonderful parents, and community members. This year we had Herriman High Cheerleaders and Cross Country Runners, and Riverton High's Cheerleaders stepping in to help.

What a wonderful Fun Run! The support from the school and the community was unbelievable. As a PTA we could not be more happy about the outcome.
