Great Shake OUT

Midas Creek will be participating in the Great Shake Out! Next Thursday at 10:15, we will join hundreds of schools and businesses in the state of Utah by participating in an earthquake drill. Teachers will be preparing the kids and helping them understand the importance of this "Drop, cover and hold on!" drill. Families and businesses are encouraged to hold their own drills. Please talk to your kids before Thursday. We don't want to scare, just prepare ‪#‎ShakeOut‬

Survey That Will Earn Our School Money

The State will Donate Up To $2,500 To Midas Creek Elementary If We Just Take This Survey...It will take about 10 minutes of your time, and your student will get a RAINBOW BEAD! (they Love their beads)

If, Mom, Dad, Grandpa, Grandma (if they live in Utah) take the survey that's a $4 donation to our school just from your one family. --Our Goal is $500.

Dear Parents,
I’m writing to you today because our school and our state need your support and your voice in the Your Utah Your Future campaign. Along with concerned leaders and citizens from around Utah, I’m am asking you to please take a moment to learn about the issues we face as our state grows and share your voice on those issues by taking the Your Utah Your Future survey at envisionutah.org. Not only will you be helping our state, but our school will also receive $1 for every adult who takes the surveyThere will be an option at the end of the survey to list your school, so please remember to enter our school name when you take the survey.
D Track notes are due on April 23 and beads will be delivered on April 24
A, B & C Track notes are due April 30 and beads will be delivered on May 1
Governor Herbert initiated Your Utah Your Future as a statewide effort to build a vision for what Utah will be like in the year 2050—when our population will be nearly double what it is now. Envision Utah, a local not-for-profit organization, is working with the governor to lead this effort and has created a survey about the choices Utahns face on a variety of issues including education, jobs, air quality, water resources, transportation, and more. The results will be used to create a vision for the whole state that will become a guide to policymakers, local governments, businesses, developers, educators, and all of us as we prepare for the future.
This isn’t a typical survey. It provides a wealth of information and gives you the freedom to learn as much as you want before you submit your final vote. It’s expected that the average person will spend anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes taking the survey depending on how deeply they want to dive into any of the topics.
I support this effort and am asking you to do the same. By adding your voice, you will be able to shape the future of Utah’s education, making it a better place for your children and their children to go to school. So please, go to envisionutah.org and make sure your voice helps shape Utah’s future.
