Fun Run Tonight 5-7pm!! Rain or Shine

We are so excited for the fun run tonight.  Rain or shine - we are on.  If it is really wet, we will move the fun inside.  Midas Creek Elem. 5-7pm.   Chick fil a sandwiches, pizza, treats....swag bags...silent auction with amazing baskets, DJ, lots of fun!  Don't miss it!

Midas Creek PTA Fun Run!!

…So You Think You Can Run?

Thursday, September 12th

 5:00-7:00pm

Midas Creek Elementary Fields

Parking:  Get your running shoes all warmed up by walking on over to the school.  Parking will be tight, so we appreciate those that can walk or carpool. 

Entrance:   The North side of the school will be the only way in. 

Running:  Runners will be divided into groups of 200 in the order of arrival. Parents are welcome to run with their child if they would like, but that’s optional.  Each student runner will be entered into a drawing for that running heat, as well as receive a swag bag.  Each heat will be only 15 minutes long.  The first heat will begin at 5:15 and start every 30 minutes following that.  As soon as you have raced, you are welcome to cheer on your friends, eat dinner, bid at the auction, or head on home. 

Fun!!:  There is lots of fun to be had! Munchkin Radio will DJ the event.  Principal Giles, community leaders, and other teachers will be running, or cheering on runners.

It’s pledge time for our “So You Think You Can Run?” fundraiser.  We are excited that 100% of the money earned by the students will stay at Midas Creek Elementary.   This year’s proceeds will help fund Reflections, Book Fairs, Teacher Appreciation, Field Trips, Red Ribbon Week, Birthdays, and a whole lot more!  We thank you for your support and hope your child enjoys participating in this years “So You Think You Can Run?” fundraiser.

How to begin:

The attached envelope is your only pledge form you need.  Have your child start getting pledges right away!  We are collecting a one-time pledge.  No need to collect twice!  You will ask for a pledge for running as far as you can for 15 minutes at our fun run.  Ask grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, anyone!  Collect their pledge in your envelope and return your envelope by the due dates below.  If you can’t make it to the night of the fun run, that’s ok!  Donations earned still help fund all the great PTA programs at Midas Creek Elementary.   

Pledge envelope due dates:

C track is due August 13-16th                                      A, B, D tracks are due September 6-12^th

It is extremely important that the envelopes are returned to the school by the due dates.  That way the money can be counted and class prizes can be awarded. 

**Every student who turns in an envelope (with pledges or not), will receive a reward!!**

**Every class that returns all their pledge envelopes by September 12th will get an ice cream party. ** 

The teachers& staff will be cheering on the kids in their donations with some silly dress up days as they strive to reach school wide earning goals.
